GREENHOUSES

In the greenhouses of the Palm Center, covering a total area of 12,100 m², approximately 140 species of palm trees are cultivated and grown. However, plant species other than palms significantly outnumber the palms in both variety and quantity. Including our collection greenhouses, the total number of plant species and subspecies in all our greenhouses and gardens exceeds 1,500.

Our work program focuses on unknown or lesser-known plant species. A large portion of our production is the first and only of its kind in Türkiye. The fact that these plants are not produced by other growers is sometimes due to their lack of recognition, but it is also influenced by market conditions. Slow-growing plants with seeds that are difficult and expensive to obtain may be rare or highly attractive, yet they are often not considered commercially profitable in our country.
